I had an interesting upbringing in Ponca City, Oklahoma. My two sisters and I were adopted when I was nine into a wholesome family. We are all very close. I left Ponca City to attend Oklahoma Christian College. I studied office practices and secretarial sciences, which brought me to where I am today. I love to visit my two children and seven grandchildren in Texas and Florida.
Why I like my work
People are friendly, cooperative and we help each other. I enjoy being on the front-line to help our clients as they call or walk in the door. I like helping them resolve their questions and concerns.
Outside of work
I enjoy spending time with my church, family and friends. I love doing arts and crafts. One of my favorite things is to repurpose furniture. I like spending time outside on walks and riding my bike in the fresh air. I love reading, watching movies, and being involved with my church activities. I also like taking road trips to new, fun places.
People probably don’t know
I was a missionary in Kenya for six years. I helped develop an orphanage into the Children’s’ Bible School and I made books for the kids. It’s still going today, and children have grown up and become teachers. We still communicate on Facebook and sometimes I surprise them when I answer in their native tongue.
